Shuffleboard League Official Rules

1. Wax can be applied before the match and not in between games.

2. Teams responsible for scoring.

3. Best of 3 games to 21. Finals best of 5 games to 21.

4. Foul line in effect. If not over the line, remove weight.

5. Scoring 1-5 points. HANGER = 6 points

6. Weight must be completely over the line to score points. If weights are tied exactly, either no points or grab bar manager for a ruling.

7. Alternating shots. Rock/Paper/Scissors to see who shoots first. The winning team from the 1st game starts 2nd, etc..

8. Only 1 team scores per round. At the end of the round, if the Blue team has a weight on 5,3, and 2. The red team has a weight on 4, then the blue team scores 5 points. Blue team 3 and 2 are eliminated.

9. A team that scores from the last round, starts the next round.

10. Players should stand behind or away from the player shooting.

11. No drinks by or over the table.

12. Players may walk to the opposite end of the board to examine the position of the weights.

13. No physical or verbal harassment or risk disqualification.

14. Tampering with or altering weights, wax, or boards, risks disqualification. Don’t touch the table.

15. 2 rounds of practice per team. Shoot from each side, each team member, once.

16. Any team not present when scheduled to play will be given a 5-minute grace period, before forfeiture. No practice for late teams.

17. Forfeiture/No Show = 2-0 for the winning team. 2 games to 0. 21-0

18. Division Tie Breakers will go to the W/L percentage of games within matches.

19. More than thirty seconds between shots shall constitute slow play and can be penalized.
